Art is…sometimes my breath, sometimes my tears. When I was young, I realized that I could make people smile with my silly arts & crafts. Then I realized that I could make people think with the things I created.
I have always been a recycler; before it was the “thing” to do. I have always loved nature and the natural world. My work has evolved into statements about how I perceive the world around me, it is my voice. It is my hope that others hear my voice through my work.
I am often torn between monochromatic and in living color!

Gail Baillargeon, originally from NY but grew up in South Florida. She now resides in Huntersville, NC with her husband and 2 children.
She began working with paper at 6 yrs old while an honorary Cub Scout! She got hooked on sculpting after searching for a fictional piece by Michael Angelo from the book “From the Mixed-up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler” by E. L. Kongisburg. Painting followed.
She creates with recycled paper and any other recycled materials.
Gail is self-taught and always on the lookout to learn new materials and techniques.
