paintings are a constant dialogue between nature’s glory and art materials. Opaque Oils. Translucent oils. Thin…Thick. Fast-drying…Slow-drying. All have a story to tell and vibrations to weave. K. starts with a theme that rolls throughout a series. Works that ebb and flow according to the day’s Magic.
I have been influenced by international artists who are comfortable with a color palattes not common in Charlotte. This work was started after a visit to Paris along with 5 other brightly-colored landscapes of both sea and mountains. This one is my favorite and the last remaining piece in the series.
