Molly English is an abstract painter living in Charlotte, North Carolina. She graduated from Queens University of Charlotte in 2004 where she double majored in Art and Psychology. She studied figure drawing, printmaking, sculpture photography, ceramics and all aspects of the human mind — but never painting. For fifteen years Molly pushed her creative passion to the backburner while she pursued a career as a construction estimator and nurtured a young family with her college sweetheart. Once the kids got older and she had had energy to spare, she started drawing and filling her sketchbook. Then Molly started to explore watercolor and acrylic paint and a whole world of emotional expression opened up. Molly’s daylight hours are still full of blueprints and spreadsheets, but late at night, when the house is still, she finds a quiet moment to paint and create.
