My audio art, Stubborn, is cut-up audio of my grandmother scrutinizing my life choices while reminiscing about her younger years. How to Deal with Heartbreak is inspired by 1950s-60s educational psychology films. I wrote a playful script inspired by those films and acted out the actions centered around heartbreak. It questions mental health videos during the 1950s-60s and emotions. Who Am I? is black and white video of layers of different emotions that express love, happiness, sadness, and anger while over an image of me sitting still. I chose these pieces because they are unique to who I am and my interest. They all stem from an experience, a person in my life, or the world around me. These pieces are me reflecting on these experiences.
